Intermediate Photography Course

Course Information

This course lays the foundation for creating income and setting up your own photography business by teaching you some disciplines in the wide realm of photography.
Practical assignments on all disciplines incorporated into your own Portfolio. 

Duration: 5 weeks (Weekend Course Available)

Minimum requirements: Digital SLR Camera, Tripod35mm / 55mm and or Zoom lens.
Students must be able to attend classes in Pretoria. 

A good basic photographic knowledge.

Cost:
R 2 950 - 5 weeks course
R 2 850 - Weekend course.

Course Contents

Module 1 - Portraits. You learn what classic portrait photography is about, how to re-create the old style portraits and how to shoot modern portraits per client brief. You work is then used to design business cards, posters and art pieces, so that you can learn pricing and getting paid for your work.

Module 2 - Landscapes. Photographers earn good money for landscapes if they know what these images are used for. We learn to work for publications, web designers and the tourist sector. Practical assignments are converted to brochures, web pages and magazine articles.

Module 3 - Interiors. Photographing homes, guest houses etc. can be a career on its own. Learn the basics of interiors, styling and lighting. Your work is used to create web pages, brochures and info pages for the market.

Module 4 - Night time photography. Low light photography using no flash can create some of your best work. The tourism industry uses a lot of images with sparkling lights and festive moods. Your work is used to create art, web pages and brochures.

Module 5 - Photoshop for photographers. Working in Photoshop, you create a portfolio of all your work done in the course.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

FAQ's

I know nothing about photography?

You will not be able to do this course without a good understanding of basic photography.

Do I need a camera to attend class?

Yes. We shoot a lot during class so that I can see you know what I am talking about in the theory.

Can I use a Digital compact?

SLR cameras are preferred, but many brilliant pictures were taken using a compact camera. Just ensure your compact has a Manuel setting.

How does payment work?
