No photographer should attempt a wedding without proper training.

This course teaches the very complicated discipline of shooting a wedding and how to set up and run a successful Wedding Photography Business.

Duration: 6 weeks (Weekend Course Available) 

Cost: R 3 950 - 6 weeks course 
Cost: R 3 850 - Weekend course - (2 weekends)

Minimum requirements: 

Digital SLR Camera, Tripod35mm / 55mm and or Zoom lens. 

Students must be able to attend classes in Pretoria.

A good basic photographic knowledge.

We supply you with a bride to shoot portfolio shots.

 Maximum 4 students per class ensure full personal attention

 

 

 

 

Course Contents

Module 1 - Skills evaluation Testing your basic photographic skills. Matching skills with Wedding Photography needs. Equipment check packing for a wedding. Backup plans for when things go wrong.

Module 2 - Styles of Wedding Photography Romantic Journalistic, Alternative, Combinations

Module 3 - Interviewing your couple. Asking right questions to know what the couple want. Expectations versus reality., Setting yourself up for trouble. Venues.

Module 4 - Contracts. Pre wedding contracts., Payment structures., Packages 

Module 5 - Shooting a wedding2 Hours before wedding., The ceremony., Families 1 Hour after wedding.

Module 6 - The reception Flash and artificial light., Eye for detail. Key moments. Enhancing the reception.

Module 7 - After the shoot Post shoot procedures., Viewing images with couple. Making a choice for enlargements. Thank you cards,

Module 8 - Administrating your business. Insurances., Advertising. Portfolio. 

Module 9 -Wedding shoot with bride in wedding environment.

 

 

 

 

 

 

FAQ's

I know nothing about photography?

You will not be able to do this course without a good understanding of basic photography.

Do I need a camera to attend class?

Yes. We shoot a lot during class so that I can see you know what I am talking about in the theory.

Can I use a Digital compact?

SLR cameras are preferred, but many brilliant pictures were taken using a compact camera. Just ensure your compact has a Manuel setting.

How does payment work?

50% of fee with registration, balance at first lesson. Please note, we hate cheques with a passion.
